You will be staying at our luxury villa located in the utopian community of Hacienda Iguana along the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua with access to private surf breaks. Our villa has 5 rooms each with private baths, a yoga studio, and multiple social hangout areas on the property. Casa Soul Water is an idyllic holistic surf house boasting a gorgeous pool, custom cedar Sauna & Ice Bath, Yoga Studio, Gym and Surf Training Facilities

Layna teaches and aligns her fluid surfing style with the practice of yoga and breath awareness. Providing high end longboards to try from various world class shapers.

There will be a local professional videographer filming each session for video coaching. There will also be In-water shots and drones set up for maximum surf and style content!

Enjoy everything from small friendly scenic waves for our beginners to peeling points and peaky beach break barrels for the intermediate to advanced surfer. There is no shortage of warm water offshore tropical surf break options.

Soul Water has on site a variety of quality boards, ranging from 9’6 down to 5’6 twin fins. These boards are ideal for all levels of surfers giving them the best opportunity possible for success and fun in the water.

High quality professional transportation via both land and sea vessels.
Guests may choose to fly into Liberia, Costa Rica or Managua, Nicaragua. Both of the two International airports are the same ground travel distance, roughly 2 1/2 hours from our doorstep.

Layna is a 500hr RYT practitioner as well as an avid longboarder and empowering surf coach. She has traveled far and wide around the world chasing waves and a deeper connection with the ocean, locals and colorful culture from sea to sea to now share with all. These retreats do not have a single goal of just surfing or yoga, they strive in all angles to connect, support and uplift local cultures, economy and environmental stewardship. This passion for surfing parallels with the sacred yoga practice creating this coexistence and synchronism within.
For 9 years she has led all forms of yoga from Advanced asana, including Vinyasa and Ashtanga to rejuvenating slow flow, restorative and yin sessions. Flows geared towards improving the body and nervous system for optimal surf fitness. She has studied techniques of this connection throughout Central America, South America, India and Sri Lanka. With an integration of breath, asana, mediation, chi, wisdom and devotion, yoga dissolves into a way of life rather than a practice.

Over the years Derek has hosted one-of-a-kind surf holidays in a wide variety of settings around the globe from exclusive resorts and wellness centers throughout the Maldives, Indonesia, Central America, and Hawaii to to more clinical settings of therapist offices.
As an internationally certified professional Breathwork, Meditation, and Contrast Exposure Facilitator, Surf Coach, and curator of unique experiences he is passionate about creating unique life-changing environments for others.
He has had the opportunity to share his "Conscious Breath & Meditation Workshops” with thousands of online participants and is an Integrated Treatment Provider for the Arizona Relationship Institute designing breathwork protocols for guided ketamine immersions and private client therapy sessions. Derek is the founder of Conscious Breath & Meditation Immersions as well as Soul Water Surf.

Non-refundable deposit
$500 non-refundable initial deposit is required for all bookings
Full payment is required for any bookings made 1 month prior to Retreat date.

If you cancel more than 90 days before your retreat start date, 100% of your payment may be applied to another Retreat hosted by Soul Water Surf within 12 months less $500 deposit.
If you cancel within 45 days of the Retreat, your payment is transferrable to any other retreat Soul Water Surf is hosting within a 12 month bracket, less $1000.
If you cancel within 14 days of the Retreat date, you will forfeit your entire payment.
